If you contact Brevity by email or via the contact form, we process the information you provide, for example name, company, email address, workflow description, sources, timeline, message and attached files.

The calculator runs client-side. Values are only sent to Brevity if you actively submit an estimate.

If you sign in to the client portal or the learning area, we process your email address, your user account and the content you enter there, for example tickets, files and survey answers.

We process questions to the chat assistant Mira and feedback on the Free Tools to answer them and to improve the website.

In live sessions of the whiteboard and the h,x diagram, the session content is transmitted to the other participants.

When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data is generated, for example IP address, time, URL, browser/device information and server logs.

Brevity processes personal data to answer requests, prepare conversations and projects, provide the client portal and the learning area, operate the website securely and document its business operations.

When a project starts, data access, sources, providers, permissions and approvals are clarified separately before integrations or AI applications are implemented.

Brevity processes personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, the following legal bases apply.

Contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): requests, quotes, projects, client portal and learning area.

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): secure operation of the website, answering general questions, the chat assistant Mira, live sessions of the Free Tools, embedding videos, and documenting business operations.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): analytics with Vercel Web Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): for example statutory retention obligations.

Necessary settings, such as your cookie choice, language and sign-in, are stored in the browser.

Vercel Web Analytics only loads if you consent to analytics in the cookie settings.

Cookie settings can be changed at any time through the corresponding link on the website.

Brevity does not sell personal data. The following service providers process data on Brevity's behalf or receive it when you load embedded content.

Vercel Inc. (USA): website hosting with server logs and, only after consent, Vercel Web Analytics.

Supabase Inc. (USA): database, sign-in and file storage for the contact form, client portal and learning area, and transmission of live sessions in the whiteboard and the h,x diagram.

Infomaniak (Switzerland): sending emails, such as notifications and copies of form messages.

OpenAI (USA): questions to the chat assistant Mira and messages sent through forms on the website, such as feedback on the Free Tools, may be processed by OpenAI on Brevity's behalf to answer, sort or summarise them. For Free Tools feedback, only the message itself is transmitted, without the email address.

Google (USA): only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google then receives the details needed for sign-in.

Stripe: if courses are paid online, payment is handled by Stripe. You enter your payment details directly with Stripe.

YouTube (Google, USA): product videos in the robotics catalogue are embedded via youtube-nocookie.com and only load when you open a product's detail view. YouTube then receives your IP address and technical browser information.

Product images in the robotics catalogue are served from brevity.ch. Manufacturer videos load only when you start a video; your browser then retrieves content from youtube-nocookie.com (Google), and Google receives your IP address and technical browser information.

Some of these service providers process data in the USA or in other countries outside Switzerland and the EU.

For countries without an adequate level of data protection, Brevity relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as recognised by the FDPIC, or, where a provider is certified under it, on the Swiss-U.S. or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We will tell you which safeguard applies to a specific provider on request to info@brevity.ch.

Personal data is retained only for as long as required for the relevant purpose, communication or legitimate documentation interests.

Business records are kept for the statutory periods, generally ten years.

You may request access to your personal data and its correction, deletion, restriction or release in a common format. You may object to processing and withdraw consent at any time.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU with the authority of your place of residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
