Scheduling poll: find the date that works for everyone
Quando finds the date most people can make. You suggest days or times and share a link; everyone marks when they can, and the best choice is highlighted at once. The poll and its answers are end-to-end encrypted: the key is only in the link.
How it works
- Suggest dates
- Tap days in the calendar or drag the mouse across several. With times: type them («9, 14:30», or «9–12» for a block in steps of the chosen length) or pick them from the list, and copy them to all days in one click.
- Share the link
- One link for everyone: copy it, show it as a QR code or send it straight to WhatsApp, Threema, Telegram or by email. Nobody needs an account to answer.
- Answer
- Yes, if need be or no for each date. On a computer in the table, on a phone with large buttons per date. Your answer can be changed at any time, on another device through your personal link.
- Fix the date
- You fix the date, the poll closes and everyone adds it to their calendar as an .ics file (Apple, Outlook), in Google Calendar, Outlook.com or Microsoft 365. A ready-made message announces it.
Options
- “If need be”
- Counts as half a yes. Switch it off when only yes or no should count.
- Hide answers
- Only you see names and answers; everyone else sees their own answer. You can lift it later, for instance to show the result.
- Deadline
- The poll takes answers up to this day.
- Time zones
- People in another time zone see the times converted and can switch to the poll’s time. All times use the 24-hour clock.
- After creating
- Add or remove dates without losing answers. Enter an answer yourself for someone without internet. Answers as CSV, the poll as a template for the next one.
Example: a team dinner
Anna suggests four evenings, each at 19:00. Ben, Carla, David, Eva and she herself answer. Quando counts yes as 1 and if need be as ½:
| Tuesday, 1 December | 3 yes, 1 if need be: 3½ |
|---|---|
| Wednesday, 2 December | 3 yes, 1 if need be: 3½ |
| Thursday, 3 December | 4 yes, 1 if need be: 4½, best choice |
| Friday, 4 December | 1 yes, 1 if need be: 1½ |
Anna fixes the Thursday. The poll closes, and everyone sees the date with the buttons for their calendar.
Data and security
- Encryption
- Title, place, dates, names and answers are encrypted in the browser with AES-GCM. The key is in the link after the # and never reaches a server; only encrypted text is stored.
- Two links
- The link for everyone opens the poll. The organiser link allows editing, fixing the date and deleting; it stays saved in your browser and can be sent to your own email address.
- Deletion
- A poll is deleted with all answers 90 days after its last date, or at once if you wish.
Scheduling poll: frequently asked questions
Is Quando free?
Yes: no account, no ads and no limit on the number of polls. A poll holds up to 200 dates and 500 answers.
Is Quando an alternative to Doodle?
For finding a date, yes: suggest dates, vote yes, if need be or no, fix the date and add it to the calendar. Neither you nor the participants need an account.
Who sees the answers?

What if I lose the organiser link?
In the same browser the poll is listed under “My polls”. Without that browser and without the link it can no longer be managed, which is why “Email to me” is offered right after creating it.

Yes, in the same browser with “Change”, on another device through the link to change your answer.
How long is a poll kept?
Until 90 days after the last suggested date or the deadline. Then it is deleted with all answers.
